Dr. O'Connor is currently a practicing Emergency Palliative Physician at the University Health Network in Toronto, where she also serves as the Deputy Medical Director of the Emergency Departments. She has a strong background in Palliative Medicine and Symptom Management, and her academic work focuses on improving skills in symptom management and facilitating care conversations in the Emergency Department. With a keen interest in education, she holds the position of Clinician Teacher and emphasizes the importance of integrating teaching with her clinical practice. Dr. O'Connor completed her Medical School at Queen's University and underwent a five-year residency in Emergency Medicine followed by a Fellowship in Palliative Medicine at the University of Ottawa. Apart from her professional commitments, she is a proud mother of young children.
