Dr. Kyle Murray

Biography

Kyle Murray is the Dean of the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. He has previously held faculty appointments at the University of Alberta, the Ivey School of Business at Western University, and Monash University in Australia, as well as visiting professorships at INSEAD in France and TU Dublin in Ireland. His administrative roles have included Acting Dean (2021-2023) and Vice Dean (2017-2021) at the University of Alberta School of Business. Dr. Murray has provided consulting services to governments and Fortune 50 companies, with clients including the Competition Bureau Canada, General Motors, Industry Canada, Johnson & Johnson, Leger, LoyaltyOne, and Microsoft. An active researcher, Dr. Murray's work focuses on innovation, behavior change, and experimental psychology to address business and societal challenges. He has received a variety of awards for his research and teaching, including the McCalla Professorship and the Petro-Canada Young Innovators Award. He holds a BSc in Psychology and a PhD in Marketing Psychology from the University of Alberta.
