Jean C. Bokinskie is a Professor Emeritus-in-Residence at Concordia College, specializing in Nursing. He holds a PhD in Nursing from the University of North Dakota, where his dissertation focused on the perceived levels of empowerment in parish nursing. In addition, he obtained a Master’s degree in Nursing from the same university, concentrating on Adult Health Nursing, with a minor in Administration, and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Jamestown College. His expertise lies in Critical Care Nursing, particularly in neuroscience nursing, and Faith Community Nursing, where he emphasizes education and administration. Throughout his career, he has been an active member of multiple professional nursing organizations, such as the American Nurses’ Association and the Evangelical Lutheran Parish Nurse Association. He currently practices as a Faith Community Nurse at Hope Lutheran Church in Fargo, ND, while also serving on various boards, including the Bethany Homes Board of Trustees. Bokinskie has contributed to academic literature and holds various memberships in honor societies related to nursing. Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoys gardening, sewing, crafts, and running.
