Dr. Sanjiv Dhingra is a faculty member in the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology at the Max Rady College of Medicine. He is the director of the Canada Italy Tissue Engineering Program at the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences, St. Boniface Hospital Research Centre. His research interests focus on the development of stem cell and biomaterials-based therapies for cardiac regeneration and tissue engineering. Dhingra's lab examines host immune responses to transplanted stem cells and develops immunomodulatory biomaterials for clinical applications. He has made significant contributions to the field of cardiovascular disease and stem cell therapy, actively engaging in promoting allogeneic stem cell therapy and immuno-nano materials. Dhingra has organized several national and international conferences to advance regenerative medicine research and has received multiple awards for his leadership and contributions. His research is funded by agencies such as CIHR and NSERC, confirming his established presence in the field.
