Biography

Paolo Dominelli is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. He holds a PhD in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia, where he also completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology and Master of Kinesiology. His research focuses on integrative physiology, particularly understanding mechanisms underpinning the oxygen cascade in various physiological conditions such as exercise and hypoxia. His laboratory employs a reductionist approach to investigate interactions among multiple physiological systems, including pulmonary, cardiac, and muscular systems, to comprehend whole-body physiology better.
