Debra Lacoste has extensive experience in Digital Humanities, focusing on chant research, digital tool development, and database management. She has been involved in several significant projects, including serving as Project Manager for the 'Digital Analysis of Chant Transmission' under the leadership of Jennifer Bain. Lacoste has contributed to the 'Cantus Database', overseeing its development for 25 years, during which time she has published numerous academic works, including co-authored and edited books and journal articles. Her tenure as Digital Multimedia Editor for the Journal of the American Musicological Society from 2017 to 2019 has added to her credentials. In addition to her research, Lacoste teaches trumpet studio at the University of Waterloo and acts as the Director and General Editor of the Institute of Mediaeval Music, further showcasing her commitment to advancing knowledge and education in her fields of expertise.
