Richard S. Gray is a Professor and Canadian Grain Policy Research Chair at the College of Agriculture and Bioresources, University of Saskatchewan. He has made significant contributions to the field of agricultural economics, focusing on risk production economics, agricultural marketing, grain transportation, and agricultural innovation research funding mechanisms. With a growing body of empirical evidence, he emphasizes the importance of investing in agricultural innovation systems as a pathway to economic growth and environmental sustainability. Over the past decade, Richard has concentrated his research efforts on economics related to funding for agricultural innovation systems and intellectual property management. He holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Resource Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master of Science from the University of Saskatchewan, and a Bachelor's degree with honors from the same institution.
