Biography

Matthew Ades obtained his MD from McGill University in 2018. He completed a three-year Internal Medicine residency at Jewish General Hospital, followed by a two-year fellowship in General Internal Medicine at McGill University, which he completed in June 2023. He subsequently pursued a clinical fellowship in Vascular Medicine at McMaster University, set to conclude in 2024. In addition to his medical degree, Ades holds a Master’s degree in Health Professions Education from the University of Ottawa. He currently serves as the Director of the Cardiovascular Prevention Centre. His clinical and academic focus lies in atherothromboembolic polyvascular disease, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration between Neurology, Vascular Surgery, and Thrombosis in order to develop integrated vascular medicine pathways for arterial thrombosis care.
