Biography

Mattia Albertini is a Ph.D. Candidate at the Institute of Economics (IdEP) of the Università della Svizzera italiana. He has broad interests in microeconometrics, with applications in Health, Urban, Labour, and Environmental Economics. Currently, he serves as a teaching assistant for Microeconomics A and Macroeconomics B at the Bachelor's level, as well as Textual Analysis and Spatial Data for Economists at the Master's level. He obtained a Bachelor in Economics from the Università di Pavia and a Master of Science in Economics with a minor in Data Science at USI. He completed all modules of the program for Beginning Doctoral Students in Economics at the Gerzensee's Study Center, a Swiss National Bank foundation. His main research area is applied econometrics, focusing on the long-term mental health and labor market effects of benzodiazepine prescriptions by doctors. He also studies the impacts of residential integration in transnational economies and their effects on the real estate market.
