Dr. Xiangyang Mei is an Assistant Professor in the School of Medicine at Queen's University, specializing in Oncology. His clinical expertise is focused on advanced external beam radiation therapy, including techniques such as Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Volume Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT), Stereotactic Ablative Radiation Therapy (SABR), and High Dose Rate (HDR) Brachytherapy. Dr. Mei is also involved in education, providing training in medical physics for both residents and undergraduate students. His research interests center around the development and implementation of new advanced techniques for external beam radiation therapy and innovative quality assurance processes to ensure the accurate and safe delivery of radiation therapy. Additionally, Dr. Mei is focused on novel approaches in HDR Brachytherapy, aiming to enhance treatment outcomes in oncology.
