Biography

Dr. Todd Urton is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Queen's University. He completed his Medical School training at Queen's University in 2002, followed by a Residency in Ophthalmology at the same institution in 2007. He further specialized with a Fellowship in Uveitis at the University of Western Ontario's Ivey Institute of Ophthalmology. Dr. Urton is currently the Operating Room Director and conducts clinical services focusing on uveitis and comprehensive cataracts. He has published various research articles in esteemed journals, addressing topics such as anti-inflammatory therapy, the measurement of intraocular antibodies, and the effects of vitamin D on eye health. His commitment to advancing the field of ophthalmology is evident through his active participation in clinical trials and his contributions to the academic mission of the Department of Ophthalmology. Dr. Urton is engaged in teaching and mentoring future ophthalmologists, drawing upon his extensive clinical experience and research background.
