Cheng-Yun Tsang is an Associate Professor at Monash University Faculty of Law, contributing to the Centre for Commercial Law and Regulatory Studies. Previously, he was an Associate Professor at the National Chengchi University College of Law, where he taught courses on FinTech and Law among others. He has led notable government-funded research projects on SupTech, Digital Identity, AML/CFT, and open banking. Cheng-Yun's research emphasizes International Financial Law and FinTech regulation, focusing on RegTech, crypto assets, regulatory coordination, data governance, and sustainable finance. He has a strong publication record with articles appearing in prestigious journals and has written extensively on FinTech regulation and financial reforms in the Asia-Pacific. His expertise has been sought by various regulatory bodies, and he has contributed to key discussions on financial technology and its regulation. Cheng-Yun completed his SJD and LLM at Duke University and holds an MBA from National Taiwan University. He has also completed a certification in Digital Money from Tufts University.
