Biography

Sara Abdollahi is currently a Medical Physicist in Training at the University Hospital Zurich, specifically in the Department of Radiation Oncology. Her areas of expertise include quality management, motion management in radiotherapy, and brachytherapy. Sara completed her Ph.D. in Physics at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran, from 2019 to 2024, alongside obtaining a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) during the same period. She has extensive work experience, having served as the Chief Quality Officer and Principal Medical Physicist at Reza Radiotherapy and Oncology Center in Iran and held several positions in medical physics at Imam Reza Hospital and other institutions. Sara is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Swiss Society for Radiobiology and Medical Physics (SSRMP) and the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO), reflecting her dedication to advancing her field. Her research interests focus on quality assurance in stereotactic radiotherapy, small field dosimetry, surface-guided radiotherapy, and adaptive radiotherapy.
