Biography

Nicolaus Andratschke is a Senior Physician and Vice Director of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University Hospital Zurich. His specialties include neurooncology, thoracic oncology, radiosurgery, and MR-guided radiotherapy. He has significant clinical experience, having served in various roles since 2012, including Attending Physician in radiation therapy at University of Rostock and TU Munich. He has also conducted a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in the USA. Andratschke's research focuses on adaptive radiotherapy at the MR Linac, artificial intelligence in treatment planning, and the radio-oncological management of patients with oligometastatic diseases. He has been involved in numerous vital memberships, including the Scientific Association of Swiss Radiation Oncology and the European Society for Therapeutic Radiation Oncology. Furthermore, he plays a crucial role in clinical trials and quality assurance efforts as head of Radiotherapy QA for Clinical Trials at the EORTC.
