Dr. Jacqueline Carter

Biography

Jacqueline Carter is a registered psychologist in Newfoundland and Labrador, actively engaged in research, teaching, and clinical practice within the Faculty of Psychology at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Her practice and research encompass various areas, particularly focusing on child, adult, and family psychology. Within these domains, she has developed particular interests in eating disorders, addictions, problem gambling, psychotic disorders, sleep disorders, and psychosocial adjustment. In addition, she is dedicated to health psychology, addressing issues such as psychosocial oncology, multiple sclerosis, and obesity. As a clinical faculty member, Jacqueline plays a vital role in mentoring prospective graduate students in their pursuit of degrees in Experimental and Clinical Psychology, nurturing the next generation of clinical psychologists through a scholar-practitioner model that emphasizes informed understanding of relevant research.
