Biography

Associate Professor Sudhir Gai is a member of the School of Engineering and Technology at UNSW Canberra. He has extensive research interests that focus on high-speed flows and shock wave phenomena. His work encompasses a variety of topics in fluid mechanics, including the effects of bluntness and incidence in hypersonic flows, wave packets in supersonic separated flows, and the interactions between shock waves and boundary layers. He has authored several book chapters and journal articles, contributing to key advancements in the field. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with numerous researchers and has participated in major international symposiums. His contributions to high-enthalpy flow research are notable, and he continues to mentor students and engage in academic service while advancing his research agenda.
