Dr. Leah Lewis

Biography

Leah Lewis is a registered creative arts therapist and psychotherapist with a background in drama, human development, and counseling psychology. Her research interests are primarily focused on arts-based practices and community-situated methodologies. Leah is currently engaged in several notable projects, including the Open Studio Project, which involves a community-located art hive at Holy Heart of Mary High School aimed at newcomer youth. Additionally, she is working on Digital Stories for Newcomer Youth, an application for performance auto-ethnography that serves as a knowledge translation and mobilization tool, funded by various organizations including ArtsNL and the NAC Collaborations Fund.
