Biography

Robert Jackson is the Fletcher Jones Professor of Government and International Relations at the University of Redlands in California. He is also a senior research associate at the Changing Character of War Programme at Pembroke College, University of Oxford, and an emeritus professor of Political Science at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. He has a distinguished career, having taught for 35 years at Carleton and McGill Universities, and has held several key positions including Senior Policy Advisor to Canadian Prime Ministers and Deputy Prime Minister. Jackson is an active contributor to international relations and has authored or co-authored 39 books and over 50 articles in the fields of comparative, Canadian, and international politics. He is currently engaged in new projects involving North American Security Policy and the role of children in armed conflict, as well as teaching various international relations courses. His work is well-regarded, with recent publications receiving acclaim for their comprehensive analysis of global politics.
