Lou Nel is an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Science at Carleton University. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Waterloo in 1988, along with a Master of Mathematics and a Bachelor of Engineering from Carleton University. His professional career has been marked by a focus on the intersections of computer applications and music, as well as object-oriented programming and software engineering. Throughout his academic journey, he has contributed significantly to the fields of computer science education and research, fostering a comprehensive understanding of software development practices.
