Hansa Deep is a Sessional Lecturer in Hindi at the University of Toronto Mississauga. She specializes in teaching Hindi language studies and has made significant contributions to the field of folklore. Deep is an accomplished storyteller and has authored seven collections of short fiction as well as four novels in Hindi. Her works have been featured in prestigious Hindi journals worldwide, illustrating her impact on the literary community. Deep holds a PhD in Folk Literature with a focus on Cultural Background Folk Songs from Vikram University, India, as well as an MA in Hindi Literature from the same institution. Her teaching and research interests lie in the area of folklore, where she actively engages in research work and the exploration of traditional narratives.
