Dr. Kathleen Bingham

Biography

Kathleen Bingham is an Assistant Professor and Clinician Investigator in the Department of Psychiatry at the University Health Network in Toronto. Her clinical interests lie in complex late-life mood disorders and the overlap between cognitive impairment and depression. Dr. Bingham completed her medical degree at Western University and pursued her psychiatry residency at the University of Toronto. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Toronto’s Institute of Medical Science in 2018. Her research primarily focuses on cognition and everyday functioning in late-life psychotic depression. She has published several articles in recognized journals, where she has been the principal author on multiple significant studies related to late-life depression and cognitive impairment. Dr. Bingham is actively involved in professional memberships, including the Canadian Academy of Geriatric Psychiatry and the American Academy of Geriatric Psychiatry, and has received numerous awards supporting her research and clinical work.
