Caroline Ncube is a Full Professor in the Department of Commercial Law at the University of Cape Town and holds the DSI-NRF Research Chair in Intellectual Property and Innovation Development. Her work primarily focuses on research innovation, intellectual property rights, and their role in development and society. She is also an Associate Member of the University of Ottawa's Centre for Law, Technology and Society and serves as Co-Lead for the Open AIR initiative. Ncube's research explores the intersection of law, technology, and society, emphasizing the importance of equity, diversity, and inclusion within research contexts. She actively engages in fostering an environment conducive to academic success and works on initiatives that address global challenges through innovation and collaboration.
