Dr. Susanne Ferber

Biography

Dr. Ferber completed her Ph.D. at the University of Osnabrück and subsequently held a Postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Western Ontario. She joined the faculty at the University of Toronto in 2002, was promoted to Associate Professor in 2008, and became a Full Professor in 2014. Dr. Ferber has received several awards and honors, including the Early Researcher Award from the Province of Ontario and the Fellowship Award from the German American Academic Council. Her research program focuses on the cognitive neural mechanisms underlying awareness and perception, employing diverse methodological approaches to investigate cognitive impairments in neurological patients (such as those with Spatial Neglect), and includes fMRI and EEG imaging studies. Dr. Ferber has published over 70 papers in the field of cognitive neuroscience.
