Kathleen L. McGinn is the Baker Foundation Professor and Cahners-Rabb Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, where she has held various leadership roles, including Research Director and Chair of Doctoral Programs. Her research focuses on gender and work across social contexts, studying how maternal employment influences adult children's outcomes and addressing issues of gender and inclusion in workplaces and communities worldwide. Before joining Harvard, she was an Assistant Professor at Cornell University’s Johnson School and taught at Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management, where she earned her Ph.D. McGinn's academic contributions include examining the changing narratives of sexual harassment and the roles of social class in women’s employment experiences.
