Barb Thomas is a Professor in the Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Alberta. Her research focuses on applied tree improvement ecophysiology, specifically aimed at understanding the genetic and environmental influences on tree performance. Throughout her career, she has actively participated in several committees associated with forestry genetics, including serving as an Associate NSERC Industrial Research Chair in Tree Improvement.
