Cynthia Wang is an Associate Professor at the University of New South Wales, specializing in the fields of Civil Engineering and Construction Management. She obtained her PhD from the University of Sydney and has been with UNSW since 2011. Her research primarily focuses on information and knowledge management within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry, particularly leveraging Building Information Modelling (BIM) for improving construction planning, cost management, and facility management. Additionally, she is committed to sustainability, working on reducing carbon footprints in construction practices and advancing green building methodologies. Cynthia has a keen interest in enhancing the mental health and wellbeing of construction personnel, especially women in the industry. Her ongoing research utilizes innovative technologies such as digital twins and ICT to optimize construction processes and facilitate smart city development.
