Yves Tiberghien is a Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of British Columbia. He holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University (2002) and has been a Harvard Academy Scholar and a Fulbright Scholar. Tiberghien serves as the Director Emeritus of the Institute of Asian Research and is the Konwakai Chair in Japanese Research. His research focuses on comparative political economy, particularly in East Asia, and global economic and environmental governance. He has published extensively, including his recent book, "East Asian Covid-19 Paradox" (2021). Tiberghien's work addresses the dynamics of the political economy surrounding the twin industrial revolutions in digital/AI and green technology. He also has extensive teaching experience at the university level and has held visiting professor positions at institutions such as the National Tsinghua University in Taiwan and Sciences Po in Paris. His contributions to the field include various refereed articles and books related to governance and economic policy.
