Kai Zhao is currently a Research Engineer at the School of Minerals and Energy Resources Engineering, University of New South Wales, Sydney. He received his Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Engineering degrees from Tsinghua University and the University of New South Wales in 2011 and 2014 respectively. His expertise includes experience in Internet of Things (IoT) and wireless device development. His research interests are focused on prototyping facilities for Massive Internet of Things (MIoT), IoT system integration, and indoor positioning and tracking using Ultra-Wideband (UWB), Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Inertial Measurement Units (IMU), and other technologies. He has co-authored various publications, which include studies on indoor positioning systems, user experience for visually impaired navigation, and location data networks for underground mining. Zhao's work contributes significantly to advancements in IoT technologies and their application in smart environments.
