Biography

Jonathan Sergison graduated from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in 1989 and has gained extensive professional experience, working for renowned architects such as David Chipperfield and Tony Fretton. In 1996, he co-founded Sergison Bates architects in London, later expanding to Zurich in 2010. His architectural practice has completed numerous projects worldwide and has received various accolades. Aside from practice, Sergison has taught at multiple prestigious schools, including the University of North London and as a Visiting Professor at ETH Zurich and EPFL. Since 2008, he has been a Professor of Design and Construction at the Accademia di Mendrisio, focusing on urban challenges and the evolving role of housing in contemporary cities.
