Yibing Qyang, Ph.D., is a Professor of Medicine specializing in Cardiovascular Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. His lab focuses on stem cell regenerative medicine, establishing novel cellular and tissue-engineered models to study human cardiovascular diseases. With clinical collaborations, the lab procures cells from healthy subjects and patients with cardiovascular diseases to generate induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). These cells possess the ability to self-renew and differentiate into functional cardiovascular cells, allowing for high-throughput drug screening and the generation of patient-specific cardiovascular cells for research purposes.
