Biography

Dr. Madeleine Sharp is a neurologist and clinician-scientist specializing in movement disorders at the Montreal Neurological Institute of McGill University. She received her MD from McGill University, completed her Neurology residency at the University of British Columbia, and underwent post-doctoral fellowship training at Columbia University. Her research focuses on understanding the cognitive mechanisms underlying behavioral symptoms in patients with neurodegenerative disorders, particularly in Parkinson’s disease. Dr. Sharp aims to develop a framework for understanding cognitive and behavioral phenotypes in Parkinson’s disease, considering genetics, pathophysiology, comorbidities, and social factors.
