Michael Hilke is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at McGill University. He leads the Quantum Nanoelectronics Laboratory (QNEL), focusing on low dimensional systems, high speed nanoelectronics, and quantum computing. His research encompasses superconductivity, vortices, disordered systems, and the study of graphene and carbon nanotubes. Hilke has been pivotal in several academic roles, including director positions at various research initiatives such as RQMP and INTRIQ. He has received the FCAR Professor award in 2001. Hilke obtained his PhD from the University of Geneva in 1996 and has held postdoctoral positions at Princeton University.
