Kathryn Graham is an expert in the field of alcohol-related violence and health systems measurement. She currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at both the School of Psychology, Faculty of Health, Deakin University in Australia, and the National Drug Research Institute at Curtin University, Western Australia. With a PhD in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario, her research interests primarily focus on the intersection of gender issues and violence, particularly in barroom settings. Over her distinguished career, Graham has held multiple prestigious positions, including Emeritus Scientist at the Institute of Mental Health Policy Research at the Centre Addiction Mental Health. She has contributed significantly to understanding how social contexts and peer dynamics influence alcohol consumption and aggression. Notably, she was the Editor-in-Chief for the International Journal Alcohol Drug Research from 2011 to 2016 and has played a key role in various expert panels and research projects addressing alcohol abuse prevention. Graham has also received the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002 for her service. Her work continues to impact policy discussions surrounding alcohol abuse and its correlation with intimate partner violence.
