Biography

Changlong Wang is an Australian Research Council (ARC) Early Career Industry Fellow at Monash University, involved in critical projects supporting Australia's National Hydrogen Strategy. He played a key role in developing the Hydrogen and Green Steel Economic Fairways Mapper, leading to recognition such as the Australian Eureka Prize for Innovative Research in Sustainability in 2023. He represents Australia in the International Energy Agency Hydrogen Technology Collaboration Program, leading Task 52 focused on Hydrogen for Iron/Steelmaking, engaging participants from over 60 organizations. His expertise extends to examining the impacts of electric vehicle charging on grid stability as Deputy Lead for a relevant project. Changlong has significantly contributed to governmental consultations, authored numerous research outputs, and received awards for excellence in research and innovation. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours from the Australian National University and a PhD from the University of Melbourne. Changlong is affiliated with external academic positions at the University of Oxford and the University of Melbourne.
