Biography

Shauna Kingsnorth is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto in the field of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy. She holds a PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of Toronto and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Evaluation from Claremont Graduate University. Her work has led to the development of 40 integrated knowledge translation projects and a portfolio of over 75 publications, significantly contributing to the advancement of pediatric rehabilitation health care practices. Kingsnorth's research focuses on enhancing participation and inclusion for children and youth with disabilities and developmental differences through knowledge translation and evidence-informed practices. Her broad and varied body of work also includes key areas of interest such as transitioning to adult services, life skills development, and arts-based interventions. Furthermore, she explores clinical practices that inform care and emphasizes integrated knowledge translation to amplify lived experiences within the field of childhood disability.
