Katelyn O Stepan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She completed her Bachelor of Arts at Rice University in 2010, followed by her Doctor of Medicine degree at Washington University in St. Louis in 2014. Dr. Stepan pursued residency training in Otolaryngology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, finishing in 2019, and completed a fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction at Washington University in St. Louis in 2020. She holds board certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Stepan’s clinical expertise encompasses head and neck cancer surgery, minimally-invasive transoral robotic surgery, microvascular reconstructive surgery, and salivary endocrine surgery. Her research interests lie in the multidisciplinary management of head and neck cancer, focusing on patient safety and quality improvement. Dr. Stepan actively participates in clinical trials aimed at improving surgical outcomes and advancing treatments for head and neck cancers.
