Biography

Todd Gerarden is an Assistant Professor at the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management at Cornell University. His research interests lie in the field of environmental economics, particularly in understanding the economic implications of energy resource management and policy. He has studied the impact of consumer subsidies on solar panel production costs and has examined various incentives in wind energy. Gerarden’s work also delves into program design optimization for energy conservation and the interaction of upstream and downstream climate policies. He holds a PhD from Harvard University and has publications in reputable journals such as Management Science and the Journal of Economic Literature. Gerarden is dedicated to teaching and has been recognized with the Early Career Faculty Teaching Award for his contributions to the academic community.
