Sergio Chayet is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, specializing in Operations Management. His current research focuses on strategic planning for production service organizations utilizing queueing game-theoretic models, control management in manufacturing systems, and stochastic models of production systems, alongside customer-supplier relationships. Chayet has previously taught at Chicago Booth from 1999 to 2005 and has experience as a teaching assistant while studying at Northwestern University. Besides academia, he has worked as a Developer on the QCOOM project for Motorola Corporation and served as an external consultant for the National Science Foundation and ZS Associates. He holds an M.S. in Physics from the University of Chicago and both an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences from Northwestern University.
