Biography

Mark W. Mueller is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. He joined the faculty in August 2016. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pretoria and a Master's and Doctorate from ETH Zurich, where he completed his PhD studies under Professor Raffaello D’Andrea in 2015. His research focuses on unmanned aerial vehicles, dynamics control, motion planning coordination, and state estimation localization. Dr. Mueller has received several awards, including the George Giralt PhD award in 2016 and the Jacob Ackeret prize in 2011. He also serves as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems. His work has been published in numerous journals and conference proceedings, and he actively engages in research related to robotics and autonomous systems.
