Giovanni Compiani’s research primarily focuses on industrial organization and quantitative marketing, with an emphasis on applying frontier econometric methods. His research has appeared in the Journal of Political Economy, Review of Economic Studies, Marketing Science, and the Journal of Marketing Research, among others. Compiani earned his PhD, MPhil, and MA degrees in economics from Yale University. Additionally, he holds MSc and BSc degrees in economics from Bocconi University. Prior to joining Booth, Compiani was an assistant professor at the Haas School of Business, where he taught courses in marketing analytics and microeconometrics.
