Peter Swan came to Penn State Harrisburg Smeal College of Business from the University Park campus. He earned a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Michigan Business School, an MBA from the University of Tennessee, and a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan. His research has been published in various journals, including the Journal of Business Logistics, Transportation Journal, Public Works Management & Policy, International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management, and the Academy of Management Journal. Prior to joining academia, he spent a decade working in the railroad industry. He is affiliated with the Transportation Research Board, Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, American Society for Transportation and Logistics, and the Penn State Center for Supply Chain Research.
