Biography

Kepal N. Patel, MD, is a specialist in Endocrine Surgery and Head & Neck Surgery at NYU Langone Health. He has dedicated his career to providing comprehensive care for patients with complex endocrine tumors, particularly thyroid cancers. Dr. Patel completed his MD at Rutgers University and has extensive training, including a fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He is the Jules Leonard Whitehill Professor of Surgery at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and holds several leadership roles, including Vice Chair of Faculty Development in the Department of Surgery and Chief of the Division of Endocrine Surgery. His research interests focus on the molecular pathogenesis of thyroid carcinoma, with an emphasis on identifying genetic mechanisms that predict tumor behavior and response to treatment. Dr. Patel is committed to developing personalized approaches to cancer care based on the unique characteristics of individual tumors.
