Biography

Prior to joining Penn State Harrisburg, Daniel Buckley worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Kansas State University. His academic work focuses on various aspects of epistemology, particularly evidential minimalism and epistemic instrumentalism. Buckley's publications include significant articles such as 'Evidential Minimalism' published in Episteme, and 'Varieties of Epistemic Instrumentalism' featured in Synthese. His ongoing research projects explore the social-accountability approach to epistemic normativity, aiming to shed light on the concepts of epistemic accountability and blame. Buckley holds a Ph.D. from Indiana University, Bloomington, which equips him with a strong foundation in philosophical inquiry and research methodology. His educational background and diverse teaching experience contribute to his role in the Department of Philosophy at Penn State Harrisburg.
