Biography

Hunter is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of English at the University of Washington, specializing in rhetoric and writing. She holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Washington, which she is expected to complete in 2025. In addition, she earned a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Western Kentucky University in 2019 and a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Indianapolis in 2017. Hunter is dedicated to enhancing students' writing skills through innovative teaching strategies and has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to the field. She is currently involved in mentoring students within the Writing and Rhetoric program and actively engages in various academic projects related to English studies. Her accolades include the Joan Webber Award for Outstanding Teaching in English from the University of Washington's Department of English in 2024, as well as the Department's Dissertation Fellowship and Top Scholar Award in 2024 and 2020, respectively.
