Biography

Adam Charles is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. His research interests include data science, signal processing, machine learning, computational neuroscience, computational imaging, and cybernetics. Dr. Charles has developed powerful imaging algorithms and tools to meet the challenges posed by neurophysiological data and neural imaging. His lab focuses on creating advanced imaging systems and analysis tools that can overcome the complexities associated with high-dimensional neural activity. The lab's goals involve the development of cutting-edge recording technologies and collaborative designs that integrate hardware, algorithms, and computational frameworks for understanding both biological and artificial neural systems.
