Dr. Warren Grayson

Biography

Warren L. Grayson is a professor and the vice chair of faculty affairs in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. He is also an associate researcher for the Institute for NanoBioTechnology. His research focuses on addressing challenges associated with engineering functional craniofacial orthopedic constructs for therapeutic applications. Grayson leads the Grayson Lab for Craniofacial & Orthopaedic Tissue Engineering, where his team is developing innovative methods that utilize stem cells to create patient-specific grafts with the necessary biological and mechanical characteristics that facilitate functional in vivo integration. Grayson received his Bachelor of Science degree in chemical processing engineering from the University of the West Indies in 1998 and earned his PhD in biomedical engineering from Florida State University in 2005. He completed postdoctoral work in biomedical engineering at Columbia University and is a member of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) College of Fellows.
