Biography

Sridhar Seshadri is the Alan J. Joyce D. Baltz Endowed Professor in Business Administration at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he joined in 2018. His research focuses on stochastic modeling applications particularly in manufacturing, supply chain management, and revenue management. Seshadri earned a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering with distinction from the Indian Institute of Technology at Madras in 1978, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management at Ahmedabad in 1980. He completed his PhD in Management Science at the University of California at Berkeley in 1993. He has held various academic positions, including Health Innovation Professor at the Carle Illinois College of Medicine and area chair for Information, Operations, Supply Chain, and Analytics. He has published numerous articles in reputable journals and received multiple awards for his contributions to the field of operations management. Seshadri's commitment to research and education is demonstrated through his active involvement in professional societies and his role as an associate editor for several journals.
