Biography

Danny Yuxing Huang is an Assistant Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego, where he researched cyber-criminal activities through cryptocurrencies. Huang holds a BA in Computer Science from Williams College in Massachusetts. His research interests primarily focus on designing and developing systems that provide assistance to victims of tech-enabled abuse. This includes improving large language models and creating tools to detect hidden devices. He also leads the mLab at NYU, fostering interdisciplinary research and technology transfer to generate economic impact and train the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. Huang’s work aims to shape public discourse on technology and its applications for social good.
