Dr. Ulrike Malmendier

Biography

Ulrike Malmendier is a Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. She completed her PhD in Business Economics at Harvard University and also holds a PhD in Law from the University of Bonn. Her research focuses on Behavioral Economics, Corporate Finance, and the impacts of economic behaviors on business decisions. Malmendier's work has significantly contributed to the understanding of how psychological factors influence economic outcomes. She has published extensively in leading academic journals and is recognized for her innovative approach to blending economic theory with insights from psychology. Her academic journey includes a rich educational background in both Economics and Law, having earned her MA and BA from the University of Bonn, where she excelled in her studies.
