Davide Tomio is an assistant professor of finance at Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School. His research focuses on empirical asset pricing with an emphasis on sovereign bond markets, derivatives, and market liquidity. Recent work has examined the impact of central bank interventions on market functioning and the transmission of monetary policy. His research has been published in prominent journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics and the Journal of Monetary Economics, and he has participated in speeches with members of the European Central Bank's Executive Board. Prior to joining Texas A&M, he was a faculty member at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. Tomio holds a Ph.D. in finance from the Copenhagen Business School, an MS in finance and economics from the University of Copenhagen, and a BS in economics from Università Ca’ Foscari Venice.
